Our Lady of Sion College

Project Compassion

We’re Uniting Against Poverty, as part of Project Compassion.

This Lent, we’re raising funds to empower people living in poverty around the world.

Every day, millions of people around the world face unimaginable challenges just to access basic essentials – like clean water, healthcare and safe shelter. Project Compassion helps to change that, by providing critical resources and opportunities for people to reclaim their lives with dignity, resilience and hope.

But we need your help.

Inspired by our 2026 College theme ‘Work hand in hand, be the light that heals the Earth’ and our College Mission Statement that calls us to strive for justice, we call on the Our Lady of Sion College community to take action and stand in solidarity so that we can give people the dignity, safety, and opportunities they deserve.

Last year we raised a grand total of $10,751 through the various initiatives run at Our Lady of Sion College and your online donations. This effort placed us 3rd out of over 330 Catholic schools in the Archdioceses of Melbourne. We are hoping to exceed this total this year.

Our goal for this year is to raise a total of $6000 via your online donations. We hope to achieve a grand total of $11,500.

Each house has set a goal of $1,500.

Please donate, share the link with your to family and friends. The house which raises the most money will be awarded 200 points towards the House Cup.

Every dollar we raise will help to create real and lasting change for vulnerable communities around the world!

Thank you for standing with us, as we Unite Against Poverty through Project Compassion this Lent .
