Carmel House is Uniting Against Poverty this Lent by taking part in Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion.

Hello! We are Ava and Olivia, your Carmel Captains for 2026.

Carmel House is proud to be partaking in Caritas Australia's Project Compassion an initiative that assists and empowers vulnerable communities who are experiencing poverty.

Carmel house is named after Mt Carmel, a place of deep spiritual significance where the prophet Elijah stood firm in faith and was answered by God himself with fire from heaven. This powerful moment reflects courage, trust and steadfast belief. Our house banner reflects this through, Mt Carmel, the fire from heaven and the Jewish letter shin, representing faith through both challenge and joy.

Through this project we come together to turn our shared compassion into meaningful, lasting change. As House captains we are so excited and grateful to be able to lead our house in service, faith and support for others. We encourage all Carmel families to donate to Project Compassion.
